The PPM is patient and family-centered and elements that guide nursing practice are described as collaboration, quality and safety, innovation, shared decision-making, teamwork, and professional development.
The purpose of Shared Decision Making (SDM) at NCH Healthcare System is to create an innovative process which empowers nurses and staff at all levels to contribute collaboratively to ownership of nursing practice, standards, and quality of care. It is founded on the cornerstone principles of equity, teamwork, accountability, and autonomy.

When you apply to work at NCH talk with your nurse manager about shared decision making and how you can get involved.
